Serial Number

This is the serial number assigned to a transaction.  This field is required if the Begin Serial Number field is not entered.  If the transaction is a shipment and the number exists on the Serial Number History File, the last transaction for the serial number must be a return.  If the transaction is a return and the serial number exists on the Serial Number History File, the serial number's last transaction must be a shipment.
