Quality Control Specification Code

Three-position code indicating the type of quality attribute being measured.  These codes are used to record quality control specifications.  QC specifications can be entered for each lot of a lot-assignable item.  The lot's attributes can be entered from within Lot Control Maintenance, Purchase Order Receipt, and Manufacturing Order Receipt.  In addition, you can use QC spec codes to define the particular attributes of an item that are required by a particular customer.  This information is stored on the Customer/Item Relationship File.  During order entry, you can then view the QC spec values for each lot to reserve inventory with the attributes required by the ship-to and bill-to customers.
