Priority Code

This field determines the sequence in which a record is selected by the picking program.  Priority codes use IBM EBCDIC values.  These values determine the priority of the record, with blanks having the highest value.  Other valid values are special characters, uppercased letters, and digits.  Priority codes are assigned in the Lot Priority Maintenance conversation.  To facilitate the picking process, it is advisable to assign a priority code to all records.
