Primary Mnemonic Code

A mnemonic code is associated with a program option, and it can be entered on a MAC-PAC command line to directly access the corresponding conversation.  This field specifies the mnemonic code associated with the option being maintained.  The following validation is performed on this field: 

• This field must be blank if the option type is group.
• This field cannot contain a slash or a comma.
• This field must be left-justified.  No leading blanks are allowed.
• The mnemonic code must be unique.  It must not be assigned to another option number on the Option Master File.
