Previous Period Labor-Based Overhead

The previous period overhead rate that is applied based on direct labor hours.  The accounting rates in effect at the end of one period are saved as the previous period rates.  These previous period rates are then compared to the accounting rates in effect at the end of the following period to determine if labor and overhead in the work-in-process inventory should be revalued.
