Piece Rate

The Piece Rate defines the production rate for a given operation.  Depending upon the specified installation standard, this field can be either the number of pieces made per hour or the number of hours required to manufacture one piece.  Number of hours will be labor hours for a labor-paced workcenter, or machine hours for a machine-paced workcenter.  

For a fixed-time operation, the piece rate should represent the number of hours required to produce the batch quantity at the operation step, regardless of the piece rate standard.
