Part Price Code

The part price code specifies the pricing method used for a particular end item.  It is stored on the Warehouse Balance File record for the part.  The part price code works in conjunction with the customer price code to determine how the line is priced for warehouse balance pricing only.

  • Not salable.  The part cannot be sold.  This price code offers control over new products being set up on the Part Mater File and obsolete items.
  • Manual.  The operator must enter the unit price or extended price.  If the unit price is entered, the system calculates the extended price, and vice versa.
  • Standard.  The line price is based on the item price stored on the Warehouse Balance File.  Any line part discount is applied to the base price to determine the unit price.
  • Quantity Price Break.  The price is determined based on the order quantity.  Up to five quantity breaks may be defined (in addition to the base price) on the Warehouse Balance File.
  • Quantity Percent Discount.  A discount is applied to the part's base price, depending on the quantity ordered.  Up to five discount percents may be defined for each part on the Warehouse Balance File.
