Packaging Unit

The packaging unit indicates the unit in which the items to be shipped are packaged.  It is entered for each endorsement associated with an item/delivery point relationship.  A label is printed upon shipment for each group of items that correspond to a specific packaging unit.  The packaging unit/stockkeeping unit conversion factor is also entered for each endorsement.  

The conversion factor is used to determine the number of packaging labels that must be printed for each shipment.  The item quantity is printed on each label, expressed in ordering units.
