Miscellaneous Cost Rate Code
Miscellaneous Cost Rate Code
The Miscellaneous Cost Rate Code is used in the calculation of a part's total unit cost in the Product Costing module. The Rate Code is used in conjunction with the Miscellaneous Cost.
C - Memo Charge. The Memo Charge may be used for documentation of a miscellaneous charge, but the cost will be not be included in the total unit cost for the part.
M - Variable Material Cost. The Miscellaneous Cost is added to the material portion of the total unit cost.
L - Variable Labor Cost. The Miscellaneous Cost is added to the labor portion of the total unit cost.
O - Variable Overhead Cost. The Miscellaneous Cost is added to the overhead portion of the total unit cost.
X - Fixed Material Cost. The Miscellaneous Cost is assumed to be a fixed cost per manufacturing order. To compute a unit cost, the Miscellaneous Cost is divided by the Average Order Quantity for the part and then is added to the material portion of the total unit cost.
Y - Fixed Labor Cost. The Miscellaneous Cost is divided by the Average Order Quantity for the part and then is added to the labor portion of the total unit cost.
Z - Fixed Overhead Cost. The Miscellaneous Cost is divided by the Average Order Quantity for the part and then is added to the overhead portion of the total unit cost.
