Key Facility

A key facility may be a workcenter, group of workcenters, or a department.  Key facilities should be the work areas which are most likely to present capacity problems.  The load on these work areas may then be monitored through the key facility loading report.  

The key facility load report displays the load at each key facility for the next 52 weeks.  The planner can choose to base this load on either the tentative or current master schedule.  

For each key facility, planned routings are accessed and the total load in each week is accumulated.  The effective capacity, load percent, available hours, cumulative load, and cumulative available hours are also calculated.  The weekly load is compared to the weekly capacity, and weeks in which load exceeds capacity are highlighted.
