Journal Type

A one-position alphanumeric code that tells what type the journal is.  Journal types for a company and location are defined on Reference File (category 009).  The different kinds of journals for which a type is defined are: manual, standing, allocation, intercompany, reversing, and subsystem (inventory accounting, accounts receivable, and accounts payable).  Additionally, up to four user-defined journal types may be specified.
