Exception Dates
Exception Dates
Correspond to the closure dates of the customer's receiving docks (delivery points). The delivery request release splitting process, expressed by periods, takes into account the exception dates and does not associate any deliveries to these dates.
For example, if the splitting rules indicates the possible delivery days as Mondays and Tuesdays and that Tuesday corresponds to an exception date, the totality of the shipment will be forwarded to the next Monday.
If a ship-to customer issues a specific delivery request on an exception date, the delivery planned by SYNCHRO will respect the requested date, without taking into consideration its exception. The splitting rules, exception dates and the ship-to customer EDI number are part of the customer delivery conditions.
