Engineering Effectivity Date - In
The Effectivity In Date is used to specify the date on which a parent/component relationship or a routing operation is to come into effect. When a manufacturing order is created, the components are generated based on the product structure in effect and the labor requirements are generated based on the routings in effect on the order start date. If the effectivity date is not specified, the component or routing operation is considered effective on all dates.
Effectivity dates cause new revision levels to be created by the Automatic Revision Level Generation Program (if the automatic revision level generation flag is set to Y). When a new revision level is generated, you must rerun Master Scheduling and Requirements Planning to ensure that all variables affected by the new revision level are updated throughout the data base.
