Effectivity Date

The effectivity date is defined as follows:

  • The date on which the revision level or engineering change order will go into effect on the shop floor.
  • Used to define the date on which the price information becomes effective.  For records that are out of effect, this field will display in reverse image.
  • Defines the date on which the contract price information goes into effect.  It must be greater than or equal to today's date.  Today's date is the default value.  If two or more sets of price information are entered for the same part or product class, the effectivity dates cannot overlap.
  • Lastly, it defines the beginning date of the purchase order validity period
