Delivery Frequency
Delivery Frequency
This field is used in calculating the number of BON cards (move cards) for each part/using cell combination. The number of BON cards is determined as follows:
MFO
|
|
BON Safety Quantity
|

Delivery Freq * Container Qty

Container Quantity

Where:
-
BON Safety Quantity is the quantity of BON cards to be held on reserve, as defined for the part on the Product Structure File. This reserve stock is held in case all cards are in use when more components are required at a production center.
-
Delivery Freq indicates the number of times that components should be delivered to the production center each day. A delivery frequency of zero indicates that the number of deliveries is not restricted.
-
MFO is the most frequently occurring production rate on the flow authorization file for the part.
For example, consider the following demand for a given part:
Flow Interval = 10 days

In this example, 30 is the MFO because it occurs the greatest number of times in the flow interval (four times). Thirty will be the basis for calculating the number of CONBON cards needed.

Container Qty is the standard container capacity, also defined on the screen.
