Burden Cost - Actual

For labor-paced operations, the burden cost is based on direct labor hours reported against the operation.  For machine-paced operations, the burden cost is based on direct machine hours reported against the operation.  In either case, the hours are multiplied by the standard burden rate for the workcenter.  The actual burden cost is compared to the standard burden cost to calculate burden variance.
