Account Type

A one-position numeric code that specifies the account classification type of each account in the Account/ Center Master File.  Valid codes are:

1 - Assets, including evaluation accounts such estimated bad debts and accumulated depreciation

2 - Liability and net worth accounts, except year-to-date retained earnings

3 - Year-to-date retained earnings

4 - Revenues

5 - Expenses

6 - Suspense
