ABC Class

ABC classes are used to control the cycle counting procedures.  For each classification, a cycle count interval, tolerance percent, and tolerance amount may be specified.  These control the frequency of count for parts in each class and the degree of adjustment that will be tolerated after a count.  They are defined by warehouse through the warehouse description maintenance facility.  The calculated ABC classification and default count intervals and tolerances may be overridden on a part-by-part basis through the warehouse balance maintenance facility. 

The classification will assign each part processed to the highest ABC class calculated based on the requested classification criteria.
