Shipment Processing
Once the item's demand is in MAC-PAC, the MAC-PAC manufacturing modules create the manufacturing orders and associated component and labor requirements to satisfy the Future Three demand and to record receipts against the manufacturing orders. When the end item is in stock and ready to be shipped, Future Three records the shipment of the item. An interface file in MAC-PAC is formatted with the shipment information. This is the second link of the interface. A MAC-PAC batch interface program reads the interface file, records the inventory update, formats the audit trails used by MAC-PAC's Inventory Accounting module, and records the shipment against the demand on the Projected Demand file. The program also produces a report listing any transactions in error.
