Record Purging
Record Purging
Future Three controls purging of Projected Demand File transactions, on a company basis, for Future Three demand. Records for a particular company or companies, which contain an 'F' in the demand indicator field are purged each time new demand is sent to MAC-PAC. The purged records are replaced with new demand records. The demand quantities on the new demand records take into account past shipments of the item in each demand period. Therefore, demand periods that contain a non-zero forecast ship quantity will have a zero forecast ship quantity once a new Future Three demand update is executed.
MAC-PAC controls purging of transactions on the Forecast Shipments Transaction File (IC140AP1) and the Billing File (IC110AP1). If the Billing Update Program (IC110E) is not installed, the Forecast Shipments Transaction File (IC140AP1) is cleared after the successful completion of the Forecast Shipments Program (IC140E). If the Billing Update Program (IC110E) is installed, each transaction in the Forecast Shipments File (IC140AP1) is purged after its corresponding billing transactions have been processed by the Billing Update Program (IC110E). The Billing Transaction File (IC110AP1) is cleared after the successful completion of the Billing Update Program (IC110E).
