Data Setup in MAC-PAC
1. Reference File category D26, Future Three Interface Defaults, must be set up.
a. The four Future Three demand types must be entered, each unique, and each existing on Reference File category 463.
b. The summary/detail flag must be entered. This flag determines how Future Three demand transactions will be accumulated. Valid values are:
Y - Demand received via Future Three will be accumulated by part.
N - Demand received via Future Three will be broken down within each part to the individual Sold-to customer level.
c. The adjustment code must be entered and must exist on Reference File category 432. This code from category 432 must have an adjustment type of shipped and an inventory/value reduction flag of yes.
d. The balance type must be entered and must exist on the Inventory Control System Control File.
e. The default company and warehouse must be entered and must exist on the Warehouse Description File.
f. The default calendar code must be entered and must exist on Reference File category C13.
g. The Process Non-Release flag is required. This flag determines how non-released orders are processed. Valid values are:
Y - The non-released order is processed as a released order.
N - The non-released order will bypass both inventory updates and sales history processing, however, open items will be updated. An account assignment record with a blank product class must be set up on Reference File category 302. This sales account is used for billing the non-inventoried part.
2. The following Reference File categories must be set up. Refer to the Common Features Reference File Categories User Manual for more detailed information specific to each category.
133 - System Defaults.
328 - Document/Payment Types.
407 - Current Sales Period Calendar.
413 - Order Processing Defaults.
435 - Last Period Posted.
3. A company and warehouse must be set up on the Warehouse Balance File. The company must be a left-justified two-byte, numeric field. The Warehouse field must be a two-byte, alphanumeric, left-justified field.
4. In setting up parts, the size of the Part field is not restricted, but this field must exactly match the part number in Future Three. The following part types are not allowed: non-standard, bundled, planning, and non-stocked. Also, configured items, lot assigned items, and inactive parts are not processed by the Future Three interface.
5. The customer number is restricted to a nine-byte, left-justified, numeric field.
6. Only the first two address lines are used in the interface, and they are restricted to 24 characters each.
