Requisition Line Status
Requisition Line Status
Transfer requisition lines are always listed or displayed with a line status code to indicate the status of the line. The line status may be changed manually depending on its current value.
Valid display values and valid changes that can be made using the Transfer Requisition Maintenance conversation are:
· Planned
· Released
· Covered
· Canceled
· Closed
Planned
Planned is the initial status assigned to requisitions created by the planning modules. Planned requisitions may be covered on a transfer order if the Load Planned Req flag is Y on category D05. If this flag is set to N, the status must be changed to released before the requisition line may be covered. However, you must be authorized on Reference File category D10. Planned requisitions may also be canceled.
Released
Released requisitions are available to be covered on transfer orders. This is the initial status assigned to manually entered requisitions. Released requisitions may be manually canceled.
To be manually released, a requisition currently must be canceled or planned. If the requisition is planned, you must be authorized (Reference File category D10) to release it.
The status of released requisitions cannot be changed to covered (V), closed (C), or planned (P) from the Requisition Maintenance conversation. The status of a released requisition is automatically changed to covered if it has been attached to a transfer order line. If the requisition is subsequently detached from that line, its status is returned to released.
Covered
The covered status indicates that a requisition has been selected on the Requisition Search screen to be covered by a transfer order line. Released or planned requisitions may be covered. Both planned and released requisitions will display on the Requisition Search screen if the Load Planned Req flag is set to Y on category D05. If this flag is set to N, only released requisitions will be displayed. Once a requisition is covered, its status cannot be changed in the Requisition Maintenance conversation. If a requisition line is subsequently detached from an order line, its status is automatically updated to released.
Canceled
Canceled requisitions may not be associated with transfer order lines. However, they may be released and then covered.
To be canceled, a requisition must not already be canceled, closed, or covered. If the requisition is planned then you must be authorized to cancel the line (defined on Reference File category D10). A requisition can be canceled (status changed to K) only if the requisition has not been attached to a transfer order line or if the requisition has not been closed.
Closed
Closed requisitions have been associated with an order which was then shipped and received. Once a requisition is closed, its status cannot be changed.
Note: Requisition data may be changed on the multi-line screen only if the requisition has a current status of released. Released requisition data may be changed on the detail screen. Planned and canceled requisition data may only be changed on the detail screen when the status changes (if you are authorized). Closed and covered requisitions cannot be changed.
