This workline allows you to activate alternate operations for an operation or routing. Only the Sequence Number and Request Code fields are displayed until you enter a request to activate alternates (request code = A).
When activating alternates for a specific operation, a window is displayed allowing you to activate all alternate operations or only specific alternate operations.
SEQUENCE NUMBER
Required for all maintenance. The line to be changed. In general, the value must be numeric and identify an existing labor requirements line. However, to activate all alternates for the routing (request code = A), you would type ALL in the field. To move to the end of the list of requirements, you would enter the request code P and type END in this field.
REQUEST CODE
Required. Specifies what function will be performed. Valid values are:
O - Add an operation.
M - Add a master operation.
C - Add a comment.
U - Update an operation, description, or comment.
D - Delete an operation, master, or comment.
A - Activate alternates for an operation.
P - Page to display a line.
Only a request code of 'A' is allowed for alternate activation.
OPERATION NUMBER
Optional. Sequential number assigned to a manufacturing or assembly operation for the order. Must be numeric but not 000 or 999.
OPERATION LINE NUMBER
Required if ALL was entered in the Sequence Number field. Number assigned to identify alternates for an operation or routing. May not be 00 for an activate request.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Update changes.
F3 - Exit the workline without update.
