The workline allows you to add or update information for a master operation or comment. Only the Sequence Number and Request Code fields are displayed until you specify that you want to add a master (request code = M; sequence number is blank), update a master or comment (request code = U; sequence number corresponds to a master or comment), or add a comment (request code = C, sequence number is blank).
Note that master operations may become associated with any of the scheduled operations on the routing. This association occurs automatically and is effective as soon as labor requirement records are generated. It is updated whenever a valid transactions is entered. Any master on the routing may be associated with any of the scheduled operations preceding it on the routing.
A master is always associated with the operation immediately prior to it in the routing. Masters are also associated with all the operations that lie between this operation and either the prior master, the prior operation with labor activity reported, or the closest prior operation that has a different workcenter.
No maintenance is allowed that would cause any master to be associated with operations that have different crew flags. The existing master must first be deleted or a new master added.
SEQUENCE NUMBER

However, to activate all alternates for the routing you would type ALL in the field (request code = A). To move to the end of the list of requirements, you would type END in this field and enter the request code P.
