This screen is used to request the generation or maintenance of labor requirements for a manufacturing order. Labor requirements may also be generated when the manufacturing order is firmed, released or modified from Manufacturing Order Maintenance.
PLANT
Required. The plant in which maintenance will be performed. The plant must be defined on the Plant/ Warehouse Description File (IC170M), and you must be authorized to the plant on Reference File category 409.
ORDER NUMBER
Required. Enter the manufacturing order number for which labor requirements are to be maintained or generated. It must be a valid order with a status of Open or Firm. It must have start and due dates that exist on the shop calendar, and it must be cut in the plant displayed on the screen.
DISPLAY REQUIREMENTS
Required. Indicates whether the labor requirements should be displayed on the screen. If you are maintaining existing requirements, this option must be ''Y''. If you are generating labor requirements for the first time it must be either:
Y - The labor requirements will be generated and displayed, then may be modified as necessary.
N - The requirements will not be displayed, but will be generated asynchronously. This option provides a faster method of requesting the generation of labor requirements.
DISPLAY ALTERNATES
Required. Valid values are:
Y - Display alternative operations
N - Do not display alternative operations.
A system-wide option is available through Shop Floor system control maintenance to allow comments and alternates to be included when generating Labor Requirements. If the option is set to exclude alternates, this flag should be set to ''N''.
DISPLAY COMMENTS
Required. Valid values are:
Y - Display comments
N - Do not display comments.
A system-wide option is available through Shop Floor system control maintenance to allow comments and alternates to be included when generating Labor Requirements. If the option is set to exclude comments, this flag should be set to ''N''.
MAINTENANCE CODE
Required. Valid values are:
1 - Generate labor requirements for the specified order (none have been generated previously).
Selecting this option will generate all steps contained in a standard routing for a manufacturing order. When creating a rework manufacturing order which is only going to go through one of the operations contained in the routing, it is better to selection option 2, Maintain Requirements.
2 - Maintain existing labor requirements for the specified order.
If a manufacturing order is a rework order and the HLRS flag (indicating whether or not any labor requirements have been generated) is set to ''N'', you can enter the Labor Requirements Maintenance conversation and select option 2 for maintaining labor requirements. The program should display a blank Labor Requirements subfile where desired labor requirements can then be entered. Once at least one labor requirement has been entered, the HLRS flag will be updated to ''Y''.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Update changes.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exit program without update.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
