This screen is displayed when you place your cursor on any of the Total Demand buckets on the Simulation Schedule Maintenance screen (RP140S02) and press F4.  It identifies the source of the demand for a particular bucket.  Total demand is comprised of the following elements:  sales orders, transfer orders, transfer requisitions, offset releases, component requirements, flow requirements, and unconsumed forecast quantity.  By-product receipts are produced as a result of producing the part, and are actually a component of projected inventory and not a component of Total Demand.

The quantities that are displayed are the sum of sales orders, Synchro offset releases, and simulated component requirements, transfer requisitions, transfer orders, or flow requirements, if any exist.  If none exist, actual component requirements, transfer requisitions, transfer orders, or flow requirements are used.  If no simulated records are found, the program assumes that either the part is an end item, has only parents that are standard master scheduled, or that simulation has never been run for any of the part's parents.  If any of the aforementioned is true, the actual demand records listed above will be used.

Press the Enter key to return to the Simulation Maintenance Schedule screen.

PART NUMBER

Display only.  This field identifies the part whose total demand is being displayed.

PART DESCRIPTION

Display only.  This is the description of the part as it appears on the Part Master File (DE100M).

START DATE

Display only.  This is the start date of the period that is being inquired upon.

ENDING DATE

Display only.  This specifies the last date in the period in which the source of demand will be identified.  Note that demand is considered up to this, but not including this date.

TOTAL DEMAND QUANTITY

Display only.  This field is the sum of all demand for the period.

SALES ORDERS

Display only.  This field identifies whether sales orders are included in the total demand.  The field represents the total unshipped sales order quantity of sales orders in the manufacturing company/warehouse that are available for planning.

TRANSFER ORDERS

Display only.  This field identifies whether transfer orders are included in the total demand.  The quantity represents the total unshipped transfer order quantity of transfer orders in the manufacturing company/warehouse that have a manufacturing relief code.

TRANSFER REQUISITIONS

Display only.  This field identifies whether transfer requisitions are included in the total demand.  The quantity represents the total uncovered quantity of transfer requisitions in the manufacturing company/warehouse that have a manufacturing relief code.

OFFSET RELEASES

Display only.  This field identifies whether offset releases are included in the total demand.  The quantity represents the total of offset releases for the manufacturing company/warehouse.

COMPONENT REQUIREMENTS

Display only.  This field identifies whether component requirements are included in the total demand.  The quantity represents the total of non-issued component requirements.

FLOW REQUIREMENTS

Display only.  This field identifies whether flow requirements are included in the total demand.  The quantity represents the total of non-issued flow requirements.

UNCONSUMED FORECAST QUANTITY

Display only.  This field identifies whether flow unconsumed forecast is included in the total demand.  The quantity represents EDI forecasts and all regular forecasts not covered by consumable demand as of the last time forecast consumption was run for the part.

BY-PRODUCT RECEIPTS

Display only.  This field identifies whether by-product receipts are generated as a result of creating the part.  By-product receipts are a component of projected inventory.  The quantity represents the total expected by-product receipts as a result of manufacturing orders and flows for parents of the part.  By-product receipts are a component of projected inventory and not of total demand.
