File Schedules
File schedules can be sent by fax, minitel, etc. They are formatted to be a simple structured file that is populated with schedules, which is convenient to use for vendors who have custom software to convert the data.
File schedules do support the firm horizon.
Up to 32 periods can be printed on the schedules. The periods are defined on Reference File category G64, File Schedule Periods. The periods can be detailed (representing days) or they can be summarized (representing weeks). The release natures for these periods are also printed on the file schedules. Draft paper schedules show variances as well as the scheduled quantities.
When the file schedules are generated, a control report is also generated. The control report specifies the transmission date, vendor, and number of records written to the RS File Schedule File (RS650AP).
Note: You must manually purge records from the RS File Schedule file (RS650AP), the RS VDA Schedule History file (RS632M), and the RS VDA History file (RS650M).
