Description
The Repetitive Supply (RS) module is a just-in-time supply solution that is designed to handle frequent deliveries from vendors in an efficient and individually tailored manner. The functionality provided by this module, combined with MAC-PAC’s requirements planning and purchasing capabilities, allows you to plan and order a steady flow of goods on an as-needed basis with minimal administrative work.
The Repetitive Supply module is designed to meet the requirements of your manufacturing site, while adhering to any constraints that you might have, such as your delivery calendar. Repetitive Supply handles:
· Vendor delivery conditions by planner
· Endorsements related to purchase order (PO) lines
· Automatic update of purchase order line prices based on effectivity dates
· Automatic allocation of planned requisitions to purchase orders
· Formulating vendor schedules in both hard-copy and electronic formats
The Repetitive Supply module allows you maximum flexibility in implementing contract pricing for specific vendors, specific items, and specific time periods. Every item that you order from a vendor using this module references rules for delivery, allocation, and pricing.
Used in conjunction with the Requirements Planning module, the Repetitive Supply module allows you to immediately allocate planned purchasing requisitions to open purchase orders using allocation rules specified for your various vendor/planner combinations.
The Repetitive Supply module allows you to produce vendor schedules using electronic data interchange (EDI) transmissions. The Repetitive Supply module supports the ODETTE, ANSI, and VDA EDI protocols, but you do not have to use EDI for vendor schedules. Vendor schedules can also be produced in hard-copy format or in electronic format to facilitate transmission by fax, telex, etc.
