This screen displays detailed information about the costs incurred for a particular part at a miscellaneous cost workcenter. It is displayed when the user selects a miscellaneous cost workcenter from either the Product Cost Analysis Labor for MRP Parts (PC810S04) or the Product Cost Analysis for JIT Parts (PC810S07) screen. To return to the original labor screen, press Enter.
PLANT
Display only. The plant where the operation is located.
PART NUMBER/DESCRIPTION
Display only. The part for which cost information is displayed.
OPERATION NUMBER
Display only. The operation number on the part's routing.
WORKCENTER NUMBER
Display only. The workcenter for which cost information is displayed. The workcenter at which the operation is performed.
AVERAGE ORDER QUANTITY
Display only. This field represents the typical quantity made when an item is manufactured.
RATE CODE
Display only. Indicates how the miscellaneous costs should be interpreted for the part/workcenter. Possible values are:
X - Fixed material M - Variable material
Y - Fixed labor L - Variable labor
Z - Fixed overhead O - Variable overhead
C - Memo charge
COST ELEMENT
Display only. Identifies the type of cost being incurred. Cost elements are defined on Reference File category C17. This screen displays only those elements that have costs for this part/workcenter combination. The description for each element is retrieved from Reference File category C17.
MISCELLANEOUS COST
Display only. The miscellaneous cost associated with each relevant cost element. The rate code determines how this value is related to the cost per part, which is used in the determining the total cost to manufacture the item.
COST PER PART
Display only. The costs in this column are added to give the total cost incurred by each unit at this workcenter. The costs for all workcenters are added to give the total cost per piece for the item, which is then used to value inventory for the item. If the rate code is "memo charge," the cost per part is zero. If the rate code is for a fixed cost, the miscellaneous cost is divided by the average order quantity to give the cost per part. If the rate code is for a variable cost, the miscellaneous equals the cost per part.
