This screen displays the contribution to material, labor, and overhead costs for each operation in the routing of a manufactured part. The calculation is based on the latest routing information for each operation.
OPERATION COSTING LOGIC
Review the extended glossary text for a description of the use of the routing fields in operation costing.
Enter an 'X' in the Select field and press ENTER to view the operation detail (by rate code) for the workcenter.
PLANT
Display only. The costs displayed on the screen are incurred when the parent part is manufactured in this plant.
BASE CURRENCY
Display only. Base currency associated with company/location that is assigned to this manufacturing company/warehouse in the plant.
SIMULATION TRIAL ID
Displayed only if a simulated cost type was specified on the select screen. The name or identification number of the simulation for which information is shown.
EFFECTIVITY DATE
Display only. This is the date on which the last generation was based. The costs displayed on the screen are based on the routing steps that are in effect on this date.
GENERATION DATE
Display only. The date when these costs were calculated. Any changes to the routing or rate information entered after this date are not reflected in the costs.
PART NUMBER/DESCRIPTION
Display only. The part being manufactured together with its description. This screen displays the costs incurred at each step in the part's manufacturing process.
SELECT
Optional. Type an X in this field and press Enter to view detailed rate information about the corresponding operation.
OPERATION NUMBER
The sequence number of the operation from the routing.

The detailed information used to calculate costs
Description - The description of the operation.
W/C No - Workcenter Number. The workcenter where the work is performed (as specified on the routing). The labor and overhead rates defined for this workcenter are used to cost the corresponding operation.
Op Ty - Operation type. Indicates whether the operation is a standard operation or master operation. Also indicates what type of overlap is allowed for the operation.
CF - Crew Operation Flag - Indicates whether the operation is a crew operation (Y) or not (N).
No Pers - The number of persons required to perform the operation.
No Mach - The number of machines used when performing the operation.
Piece Rate - Either the number of pieces made per hour or the number of hours required to make one piece. For labor-paced operations, this is labor hours. For machine-paced operations, it represents machine hours.
RC - The rate code used to cost this operation.
Material - The standard material cost incurred at this operation per piece.
Labor - The standard labor cost incurred at this operation per piece.
Overhead - The standard burden cost incurred at this operation per piece.
Total - Material Cost + Labor Cost + Overhead Cost
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Return to the select screen.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exit program and return to menu.
F7 - Display the material detail for the part.
F11 - Display summary costs for the part.
