This screen displays the calculation of the total material cost, total labor cost, and total overhead cost contribution for each component part directly required to manufacture the requested parent part. The cost information is displayed in single-level bill of material format. The scrap factor associated with the component as it relates to its parent is used to inflate material costs to account for expected scrap. This is defined on the bill of material for the parent component.
Enter an X in the Select field for any manufactured component and press Enter to display the bill of material and associated costs for the component part. These costs are defined in terms of the base currency displayed.
PLANT
Display only. The plant for which information is displayed.
BASE CURRENCY
Display only. The base currency for the company/location that is associated with this manufacturing company/ warehouse. Costs are expressed in this currency.
SIMULATION TRIAL ID
Display only. The name or identification number of the simulated for which cost data is displayed on the screen.
EFFECTIVITY DATE
Display only. This is the date on which the last generation was based. The components displayed are those that are in effect on this effectivity date.
GENERATION DATE
Display only. The date when these costs were calculated. Any changes to the routing or rate information entered after this date are not reflected in the costs.
PART NUMBER/DESCRIPTION
Display only. The parent part whose costed bill of material is shown.
BOM LEVEL
Display only. The level in the parent's bill of material where the components listed on this screen are used.
CUR COST ROLLOVER CODE
Display only. Flag indicating whether current costs will be "rolled" into standard costs for this part during a selective rollover. The value of this field is changed through the Part Costs Maintenance conversation. The rollover is requested through the Cost Rollover conversation. Values are:
Y - The standard costs for the part will be updated with the current costs if a selective standard cost rollover is performed.
N - Standard costs for the part will not be affected by a selective standard cost rollover.
SIM COST ROLLOVER CODE
Display only. Flag indicating whether simulated costs will be "rolled" into current or standard costs during a selective rollover. The value of this field is changed through the Part Costs Maintenance conversation. The rollover is requested through the Cost Rollover conversation. Values are:
Y - The simulated costs for the part will be rolled into either the current or the standard cost values when a selective simulated cost rollover is performed.
N - Costs for the part will not be affected by a simulated cost rollover.
SELECT
Optional. To see how costs were calculated for one of listed components, type an X in the corresponding select field and press Enter.
SEQUENCE
Display only. Indicates the order in which the components are listed whenever the bill of material is printed or displayed.
PART NUMBER/ DESCRIPTION/ QTY PER/ SCRAP FACTOR/ UM/ MATERIAL COST/ LABOR COST/OVERHEAD COST/TOTAL COST
Display only. Detailed information about the cost for one component in the bill of material:
Qty Per - Quantity of the component required to make one unit (or one batch) of the parent.
ScFc - The scrap factor of the component. It is used to increase the quantity of a component needed in the manufacturing process to account for unusable material or components.
UM - The unit of measure for the Quantity Per field.
Material - The cost of the material required for this component.
Labor - Direct labor cost incurred in making enough of this component to produce a single parent.
Overhead - Burden cost incurred to make (or buy) enough of this component to produce one parent.
Total - Material cost plus labor cost plus overhead cost. The total cost incurred to make (or buy) enough of this component to produce one parent.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Return to the select screen.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exit program and return to menu.
F5 - Return to the bill of material of the part originally displayed.
F6 - Return to the bill of material level previously displayed.
F8 - Display labor detail for the part.
F11 - Display summary costs for the part.
F12 - Display cost elements for the part.
