Flags Controlling Selective Cost Rollover

When you select a cost rollover, you must specify what types of costs are involved (current to standard, simulated to current, or simulated to standard) and whether you want a full rollover (for all parts and workcenters) or a selective rollover (for parts previously selected for update).  Two flags determine which costs will be processed when you do a selective rollover from current costs to standard:

·      Standard Rollover Flag.  This flag is set on the Cost Generation/Simulation Request screen.  When this flag is set to Y, the system will automatically mark each part for which standard costs are generated.  The marked parts will then be included in the next selective rollover.

·      Current Rollover Flag.  This flag is set through the Part Costs Maintenance conversation within Design Engineering.  When this flag is set to Y for a part, that part will be included in the next selective cost rollover.

These two flags offer the following options for selecting parts to be included in the report:

·      Select parts manually.  Set the Standard Rollover Flag to N.  For each part to be included in the rollover, set the Current Rollover Flag to Y.

·      Select parts automatically.  Set the Standard Rollover Flag to Y.  For each part that should NOT be included in the rollover, re-set the Current Rollover Flag to N.  For any additional parts to be included, set the Current Rollover Flag to Y.
