This screen displays descriptive information about the specified workcenter.
PLANT
Display only. The plant where the workcenter is located. It was specified on the Function Select screen.
WORKCENTER NUMBER
Display only. The workcenter for which information is being entered or changed. It was specified on the Function Select screen.
WORKCENTER DESCRIPTION
Display only. The workcenter description appears on various reports and inquiries and is used to describe the workcenter.
ACTIVITY CODE
Display only. An inactive workcenter is one that has been selected for deletion and is ineligible for use.
INCLUDE SETUP IN LOAD
Display only. This flag defines whether the load arising from setup time will be included in the workcenter load in the Capacity Planning module.
DEPARTMENT NUMBER
Display only. Groups related workcenters into a department and is used to relate the workcenter to general ledger labor and burden accounts.
UTILIZATION PERCENT
Display only. This figure describes the percentage of the total time spent at the workcenter which is anticipated as being direct (i.e. charged to manufacturing orders). It can be used as a standard against which to report actual performance in the Shop Floor Control module.
MACHINE/LABOR PACED FLAG
Display only. This flag is used to define the factor that drives the pace of an operation at the workcenter. Standard values are:
M - Machine paced
L - Labor paced
EFFICIENCY PERCENT
Display only. This figure describes the ratio between earned hours, based on the standard piece rates and quantities completed, and the actual hours reported. It may be used as a standard against which to report labor and machine performance in the Shop Floor Control module.
CELL IDENTIFIER
Display only. Documents the relationship between a workcenter and a Just-In-Time production cell/center.
MOVE HOURS
Display only. The average number of hours spent moving materials from another workcenter during the processing of an order.
KEY FACILITY
Display only. The Key Facility defines a critical or bottleneck process, which may comprise one or many workcenters.
QUEUE HOURS
Display only. The standard number of hours spent queuing between consecutive operations within this workcenter.
DEFAULT SIR LOCATION
Display only. When performing manufacturing order receipts and quantity completes in a multiple location backflushing environment, this field can be used to override the SIR location defined on the component's Part Master record. When performing a SIR issue, the reference operation number of the component will be used to retrieve a labor requirement associated with the manufacturing order. If the workcenter attached to the labor requirement has a non-blank default SIR location, the specified location will be used as the actual location from which inventory for the component will be deducted. If this location is left blank, inventory will be relieved from the SIR location specified on the component's Part Master record.
HOURS PER DAY
Display only. Defines the available working hours in a day at this workcenter.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Return to the Function Select screen.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exit program and return to menu.
F7 - Used to display all routing steps which have been defined for the workcenter.
F8 - Used to enter the Function Select screen of the Load Summary Inquiry Program (available only if Capacity Planning is installed).
F9 - Enter the Workcenter Maintenance Program.
F16 - Used to enter the Detail Screen of the Effective Capacity Inquiry Program (available only if Capacity Planning is installed).
