This screen is used to display detailed labor and overhead rates for the workcenter.
PLANT
Display only. The plant where the workcenter is defined.
BASE CURRENCY
Display only. Base currency associated with company/location which is assigned to the manufacturing company/warehouse in this plant appears in the upper right corner of the screen, to the left of the date field. The company/ location associated with the manufacturing company/ warehouse must be entered.
WORKCENTER
Display only. The workcenter entered on the Function Select screen by the user. The workcenter's description appears immediately to the right of the number.
DESCRIPTION
Display only. This field is the user defined description of the workcenter.
DEPARTMENT
Display only. The department in which the workcenter is defined.
MACHINE/LABOR PACED FLAG
Display only. This flag is used to define the factor that drives the pace of an operation at a workcenter. Standard values are:
M - Machine paced
L - Labor paced
RATE CODE
Display only. The rate code associated with the cost. Rate codes provide detailed breakdowns in the total labor and overhead rates for the workcenter. Rate codes are defined with all other cost elements on the Reference File, category C17. Valid values are:
X - Fixed material M - Variable material
Y - Fixed labor L - Variable labor
Z - Fixed overhead O - Variable overhead
C - Memo charge The rate code cannot be X, Y, or Z for a JIT part.
RATE DESCRIPTION
Display only. The description associated with the rate code.
RATE
Display only. The cost per hour for the rate, defined for the base currency.
CURRENT/STANDARD RATES
Display only. Both current and standard rates are displayed for the workcenter. Current rates are used to generate a current cost for manufactured parts and standard rates to generate standard costs for manufactured parts. Standard costs are used to value inventory; current costs may be maintained to keep track of fluctuations in the cost of labor and overhead. If Product Costing is installed, current rates may be copied into the standard rates.
APPLICATION BASIS
Display only. For an overhead rate, this indicates whether the rate is to be applied to labor hours or to machine hours. If the workcenter is labor-paced, overhead must be applied to labor hours. Valid values are 'L', Labor, and 'M', Machine.
COST TYPE
Display only. Indicates whether the rate is to be considered a direct labor cost or an overhead cost.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Return to Function Select screen.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exit program and return to menu.
F9 - Enter Workcenter Rates Maintenance
F10 - Return to the Function Select screen.
