The Copy Routing MRP Detail Select screen will be displayed only if the copy routing maintenance code (2) is entered on the Copy Routing Prompt screen. This screen will be displayed for an MRP part.
PLANT
Display only. The plant that contains the routing to be copied. It was entered on the Function Select screen.
COPY TO PLANT
Display only. The plant where the routing will be created. It must exist on the Plant/Warehouse Description File.
COPY FROM PART
Display only. This is the part number from which the routing is to be copied. Must be an active, manufacturing or transfer part with a routing.
COPY TO PART
Display only. This is the part number for which the routing will be created. Must be an active, manufacturing or transfer part.
COPY AS OF EFFECTIVITY DATE
Display only. If entered, only those operations that are effective on the selected date will be copied to the new routing. If 'ALL' is entered, all operations will be copied to the new routing. This date will be used to limit the operations to be copied or displayed.
SET EFFECTIVITY IN DATE TO
Display only. If entered, the operations will have this date as their effectivity date. If not entered and the copy date is ALL, the effectivity dates will be copied from the routing of the copied part. If not entered and the copied date is entered, then the effectivity dates in the created routing will be blank.
FROM OPERATION NUMBER AND OPERATION LINE NUMBER
Display only. The unique, sequential number assigned to the manufacturing, assembly, or miscellaneous cost step on the routing. The first three digits are the operation number; the last two digits are the operation line number. This field will be used to define the operation number from which a routing will be copied. If maintenance code option '1' is selected, this field will be used along with the To Operation Number field to enter a range of operations to copy. If maintenance code '2' is selected, this field will be used to select operations to be displayed.
TO OPERATION NUMBER AND OPERATION LINE NUMBER
Display only. The unique, sequential number assigned to the manufacturing, assembly, or miscellaneous cost step on the routing. The first three digits are the operation number; the last two digits are the operation line number. This field will be used to define the operation to which a routing will be copied. If maintenance code option '1' is selected, this field will be used along with the From Operation Number field to enter a range of operations to copy. If maintenance code '2' is selected, this field will be used to select operations to be displayed.
SELECT
Optional. Enter an 'X' in this field to select routing operations to be copied.
OPERATION NUMBER
Display only. The unique, sequential number assigned to the manufacturing, assembly, or miscellaneous cost step on the routing that will be copied to the new routing being created.
OPERATION LINE
Display only. The operation line number that will be copied to the new routing being created.
OPERATION TYPE
Display only. The valid operation types are:
1 - Standard
2 - Master
3 - Setup only overlap
4 - Run time overlap
5 - Setup and run time overlap
6 - Fixed time no overlap
7 - Fixed time setup only overlap.
WORKCENTER NUMBER
Display only. The number of the workcenter in which the operation is performed. Workcenter numbers that are numeric and greater than or equal to 900 are reserved as miscellaneous cost workcenters, and are not valid in this maintenance screen.
CREW OPERATION FLAG
Display only. Valid values are:
Y - The operation is a crew operation
N - The operation is not a crew operation. Crew operations are not valid for machine-paced workcenters.
SETUP HOURS
Display only. Number of hours required to set up this operation, regardless of order quantity. This field has one decimal place. It is used in the Shop Floor Control scheduling logic and Capacity Planning load logic.
LABOR
Display only. For a fixed-time operation, this field is used to define the labor hours for costing purposes. Labor and machine hours are divided by the average order quantity to develop unit labor and overhead costs. Enter the standard number of labor hours that contribute to the cost of the part per piece.
PIECE RATE
Display only. For a fixed-time operation, this field is used to define machine hours for costing purposes. Labor and machine hours are divided by the average order quantity to develop unit labor and overhead costs. Enter the standard number of machine hours that contribute to the cost per piece.
SENSITIVITY FLAG
Display only. Only valid for operation types 6-7 and for parts made in batches. An 'N' indicates that the fixed time load is truly fixed. A 'Y' indicates the fixed time load is only fixed as a function of batch quantity. The field will default to 'N' if left blank and only appears for parts that are produced in batches. To see an illustration of how the sensitivity flag works in conjunction with the sensitivity factor to determine time required for an operation, place an "X" next to this paragraph and press F11.
SENSITIVITY FACTOR
Display only. Only valid for operation types 6-7 for parts made in batches that are sensitive (see Sensitivity Flag). Factor is used to determine the threshold at which another batch will be needed. This field will default to zero and only appears for parts that are produced in batches. To see how the sensitivity factor works in conjunction with the sensitivity flag to determine time required for an operation, place an "X" next to this paragraph and press F11.
MACH/TOOL
Display only. Specifies the machine required or recommended for this operation. It is user-defined and alphanumeric. Documents any tooling required for this operation. Additional tooling may be defined in the comments for this operation.
NUMBER OF PERSONS
Display only. Required for labor-paced operations, may be zero for machine-paced operations. Should indicate the number of persons or the crew size required to perform this operation.
NUMBER OF MACHINES
Display only. Required for machine-paced operations, may be zero for labor-paced operations. Should indicate the number of machines required for this operation.
OVERLAP
Display only. Cannot be entered for operation types 1, 2, 3, 6 or 7; either Overlap Percent or Overlap Quantity must be entered for operation types 4 and 5. Specifies the percentage of the order quantity that should be completed in the preceding operation before this operation can begin. It cannot be greater than 100 and cannot be zero.
OPERATION LEADTIME DAYS
Display only. Specifies the number of days required to complete the miscellaneous cost operation.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Update changes only if the Copy To part was entered in the Copy Routing Prompt screen and if all operations selected do not already exist for this part. If no Copy-To part was specified, the Copy Routing Part Select screen is displayed.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exit program without update.
F10 - Return to the Function Select screen without updating changes.
