This workline is used to add or update a comment or master operation.
SEQUENCE NUMBER
Display only. The line that is being updated. This field is blank when a comment or master operation is being added. (The sequence number will be assigned to the new line automatically based on the operation number entered.)
MAINTENANCE CODE
Display only. The type of maintenance being performed.
OPERATION NUMBER
Required. For a comment, the operation number associated with the text. For a master operation, the unique number that identifies where the operation is performed in the routing.
OPERATION LINE NUMBER
Required. For a comment, enter the line number associated with the text. For a master operation, enter 00 for a standard operation and a non-zero number for an alternate operation.
LINE COMMENT NUMBER (comments only)
Required. A sequence number used to determine what order will be used to display multiple comments for the same operation. Must be numeric and unique for the operation.
DESCRIPTION
Required. For a comment, the text of the comment. For a master operation, the description of the operation. The test will be printed on shop paperwork and various inquiries and reports.
MACHINE NUMBER (comments only)
Optional. The machine required to perform the operation.
TOOL NUMBER (comments only)
Optional. Identifies any tooling required at the operation.
ENGINEERING CHANGE ORDER - IN (Master Operations Only)
Required if Reference File category N38 (Routing ECO Date Option) is 1 - ECO Required. Identifies the ECO that brings an operation into effectivity. If entered, must be defined on the ECO file.
EFFECTIVITY-IN DATE (master operations only)
Optional. Used for "in" engineering changes to specify the first date when the operation should appear in the routing. If field is left blank, but the ECO field has been entered, the date is defaulted from the ECO file. The date is system maintained if Reference File category N38 is 1 or 2.
ENGINEERING CHANGE ORDER - OUT (Master Operations Only)
Required if Reference File category N38 (Routing ECO Date Option) is 1 - ECO Required. Identifies the engineering change that causes the operation to be removed from the routing. If entered, must be defined on the ECO file.
EFFECTIVITY-OUT DATE (master operations only)
Optional. Used for "out" engineering changes to specify the date after which the operation should be removed from the part's routing. If field is left blank, but the ECO field has been entered, the date is defaulted from the ECO file. The date is system maintained if Reference File category N38 is 1 or 2.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Update changes. If you press a command key to move to another program before pressing Enter, your changes will not be updated.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Display Manufacturing Engineering Menu to select another option.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
F7 - Display the detail screen for the operation line currently being worked on.
F9 - Enter the Multi-Line Routing Inquiry.
F10 - Return to the Function Select screen without updating changes.
F11 - Enter Routing File Maintenance program.
F12 - Enter the Bill of Documents Maintenance program.
F13 - Enter the Bill of Documents Inquiry program.
F15 - Redisplay screen before most recent changes.
F20 - Directly call the Workcenter Inquiry program. When exiting the W/C Inquiry, control will be passed back to this screen.
F24 - Display additional command keys available from this screen.
