This screen allows you to record unplanned usage for several components of a JIT part.
This screen is displayed if the Part Number - Component field on the Function Select screen was left blank. All effective components for the specified parent are displayed.
PLANT
Display only. The plant where the production occurred. It was entered on the Function Select screen.
PARENT PART NUMBER
Display only. The part that was being produced when the unplanned material usage occurred. It was entered on the Function Select screen.
REVISION LEVEL
Display only. The revision level of the bill of material that was in effect when the unplanned usage occurred. It was entered on the Function Select screen.
PRODUCTION CENTER
Display only. The cell where the unplanned usage occurred. It was entered on the Function Select screen.
YIELD FACTOR
Display only. The percentage of the original quantity that is expected to be scrapped at the end of the process. It represents the "normal" amount of scrap that will be used to determine the issue quantity to use when backflushing the scrapped quantity. The yield factor is calculated as 1 minus the Scrap Factor from the parent's Part Master File record. See the Transaction Quantity field description for more information about how the yield factor is used to determine the issue quantity.
RELIEF OPTION
Display only. Indicates whether inventory for the parent is relieved at the point of use (1) or the point of production (2). It is retrieved from the Part/Production Center Relationship File (JT160M).
CONBON CONTROL CARD
Display only. Indicates how many types of CONBON cards are used to product the parent part at this production center. It is retrieved from the Part/Production Center Relationship File (JT160M).
PARENT LOT NUMBER
Display only. The lot for the parent part. It was entered on the Function Select screen.
REVERSAL CODE
Display only. An R in this field indicates that the transaction backs out a previously entered transaction. If this field is blank, the transaction is not a reversal. It was entered on the Function Select screen.
COMPONENT PART NUMBER
Display only. This column lists each component that is used to make the parent part. To record scrap for one of the components, enter the transaction quantity on the corresponding line. Multi-level backflushed parts are displayed in reverse image, which signifies that the scrapped quantity may have to be manually backflushed at some lower levels.
COMPONENT PART DESCRIPTION
Display only. The description associated with the component part number on the Part Master File.
DEDUCT OPERATION
Display only. The deduct point operation for the component part.
TRANSACTION QUANTITY
Optional. Enter the quantity of unplanned usage for the component. The default value for this field is determined as follows: Transaction Quantity from the Function Select screen times Quantity Per (from bill of material) times Yield Factor You may override this default for any component.
RELIEF STOCK LOCATION
Required if the Transaction Quantity field is entered. Enter the stock location from which the component should be issued. The location must exist on the Location Validation File (DE140M). For non-stocked parts, enter a reference relief location.
REASON CODE
Required if the Transaction Quantity field is entered. Enter the reason code explaining the unplanned usage. This code must be on Reference File category C06. It defaults from the Function Select screen.
If the reason type is "R," MAC-PAC makes a negative adjustment to the stock location specified on the Unplanned Usage Detail screen. Typically, a reason code with a type "R" is used to issue more material than was previously backflushed, deduct issued, or lot issued.
If the reason type is "W," MAC-PAC reduces the WIP JIT balance for the component and makes a positive inventory adjustment to the location specified on the Unplanned Usage Detail screen. A reason code of "W" is used when too much material was previously issued through deduct issues or lot issues. It must be removed from WIP and returned to inventory.
COMPONENT LOT NUMBER
Required if the part is lot controlled. Otherwise, leave blank. Enter the lot number to which the component part belongs. If the specified lot number exists on the Lot Control File, it must be a manufacturing lot type with a status other than closed.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Process the transaction.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
