This screen allows you to maintain the production schedules for a particular part.  The Production Center associated with this part is displayed.  Once the desired schedule has been determined, affected daily production quantities and appropriate requirements for the production center is updated.  The present daily production and availability quantities will be initially displayed for the first four days starting with the entered begin date.  The quantity over or under schedule is also initially displayed for the Production Center.  Quantities beyond these four days can be displayed by pressing F6 - Next Screen.

NOTE:  If the over/under bucket quantity indicates that over-receipts exist and today's schedule is changed, you will receive a warning message (MPW2336 — Receipts exist – Over/Under bucket might be changed).  This message indicates that changing today's schedule might cause the over/under bucket quantity to be zeroed out in some cases.

PLANT

Display only.  Used to identify the plant in which maintenance or inquiry will be done.  The plant must exist on the Warehouse Description File, and you must be authorized to the manufacturing company/warehouse associated with the plant (Reference File Category 409).  Defaults to the plant assigned to your user ID.

PART NUMBER

Display only.  The part number whose production schedule is being maintained.  It was specified on the Function Select screen.

BEGIN DATE

Display only.  The first date for which the production schedule will be maintained.

RUN UNIT

Display only.  This is the load incurred to the default production center (defined on the Part Master File) to manufacture one unit of this part.  This load is expressed in the unit of measure of the capacity of the default production center.  This load will also be used at other production centers where this part has not been used to create a part/production center relationship.  When a part/ production relationship does exist, the run units used to calculate the part's load on that production center will come from this record.

UNIT OF MEASURE

Display only.  The unit of measure of the specified part.

FIRM DATE

Display only.  Production scheduled to this date will have a status of firm.

PLANNING BALANCE

Display only.  The amount of inventory available for manufacturing.  This total is calculated as follows:

All inventory at the manufacturing warehouse that is in a balance type available for planning.

Plus  Distribution inventory at any distribution warehouses for the plant, if the warehouse is available for planning (as specified on the Warehouse Description File).

Minus Any inventory reserved for sales orders, if any balance types are available for both planning and distribution and if sales orders are not considered by the planning modules (as specified on the Warehouse Description File).

WIP BALANCE

Display only.  The quantity of work in process for this JIT production type part.  This will result mainly from Deduct Point transactions of components issued to a production center when there is a lead time between the issue of the components and receipt of this finished parent part.

PRODUCTION CENTER

Display only.  The Production Center for the specified part.

SYNCHRONIZATION DATE

Display only.  Synchronization Date is used to calculate the over or under schedule amount for the part.  Over/under is calculated by summing the amounts over/under schedule starting from the Synch Date through, but not including, today's date.  The Synchronization date is displayed on this screen when F12=Fold Truncate is pressed.

DAILY PRODUCTION

Optional.  The daily supply quantity is shown in the current production schedule in daily buckets.  The schedule is retrieved for the production center for the specified part within the current schedule period.  This field can be maintained by the user.

The over/under production quantity is calculated by subtracting a flow authorization receipt quantity from the part's expected production quantity.  If this quantity has an asterisk (*) next to it, it indicates that the part's scheduled production in this production center is greater than the receipt quantity, which means that this part is behind schedule.  If no asterisk is displayed next to the quantity, it indicates that more parts have been received in this production center than were scheduled for production.  This means that the part is ahead of production.

TOTAL LOAD

Display only.  The Production Center Total Load per day is calculated by multiplying each part run unit by its corresponding daily schedule and summing these amounts into a total load figure.  The figure displayed is the Percent Load for all parts in the production center schedule, not just the part specified on this screen.  This information is displayed by pressing F12=Fold Truncate.

TOTAL UNITS

Display only.  Accumulated total run units multiplied by the supply quantity for the specified part in each of the production centers.

AVAILABILITY

Display only.  The availability for the specified part is displayed.  This figure does not include the forecast amount, nor does it include non-posted changes to the production schedule.

COMMAND KEYS

Enter - Process request.

F2    - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered.  Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen.  When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.

F3    - Exit program without submitting transaction.

F5    - Shift the detail screen to the left in order to display the previous schedule period.

F6    - Shift the detail screen to the right in order to maintain production in the next schedule period.

F9    - Enter the Daily Production Schedule Inquiry Program.

F10   - Return to the Function Select screen without processing the entered data.

F12   - Fold the "Total Load" field into view and unfold it to hide it.

F15   - Redisplay the screen with the original data.

F16 -   Closes all flow authorizations and their associated flow requirements for all parts in the production center that have past due production.  When you press F16, the over/under bucket for all parts in the subfile is set to zero, but the flow authorizations and flow requirements are not actually closed until you press an update function key (F22 or F23).  When synchronization occurs, the synchronization date for the production centers on the Production Center Master File (JT180M) is not updated because synchronization does not affect all of the production center's parts.  You may cancel pending synchronization if you press F16-Cancel Synchro before you press an update function key.  Synchronization is not permitted (the function key does not appear) if the start date on the Function Select screen is greater than today's date.

F22   - Update the Production Schedule File online with the data entered.  The Audit Trail File (JT100BP) is also updated to record data base activity.

F23   - Update the Production Schedule File asynchronously with the data entered.  The Audit Trail File is also updated to record data base activity.

F24 -   Display additional command keys available from this screen.
