This screen allows you to enter both direct and indirect machine hours for the machine specified. This information is used by the Inventory Accounting module to calculate overhead costs associated with machine-paced workcenters.
PLANT
Required. Used to identify the plant in which maintenance/inquiry will be done. The plant must be valid, and you must be authorized to the manufacturing company/warehouse associated with the plant (Reference File Category 409). Defaults to the plant assigned to your user ID.
WORKCENTER NUMBER
This display-only field indicates the number of the workcenter where the machine hours were performed.
MACHINE
This display-only field indicates the machine for which machine hours information will be entered.
OPERATOR
This display-only field indicates the employee number of the machine operator who reported the machine hours.
SHIFT
This display-only field indicates the shift for which the machine hours will be recorded.
TRANSACTION TYPE
Required. The type of transaction to be recorded. Valid values are:
D - Direct machine hours
I - Indirect machine hours
PART NUMBER
Required for direct hours transactions. Enter the number of the part produced by the specified machine during the time reported. The part number must be left blank for indirect transactions. The part must be active on the Part Master File, and must have a production type of JIT.
INDIRECT HOURS CODE
Required for indirect machine hours transactions. Enter the Indirect Hours Code that indicates the task against which indirect hours were charged. This code must be left blank for direct transactions. Codes are defined on Reference File category 458.
FROM TIME
Required. The time of day when the machine began to perform the operation. This value must fall within the valid range of time on the 24-hour clock. The format is hours:minutes.
TO TIME
Required. Enter the time of day when the machine stopped performing the operation. This value must fall within the valid range of time on the 24-hour clock. The to time must not be the same as the from time. The format is hours:minutes.
TRANSACTION DATE
Required. Enter the date for which the machine hours are being entered. If left blank, the transaction date defaults to the Transaction Date from the Function Select screen.
REVERSAL CODE
Optional. Enter 'R' if this transaction will back-out a previously entered transaction. Otherwise, leave blank.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Process transaction.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exit program without update.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
F9 - Enter the Machine Time Recording inquiry without processing the transaction.
F10 - Return to the Function Select screen without processing the transaction.
F15 - Clear the detail screen for new data to be entered.
