This screen displays either issue quantities or receipt quantities of lot-controlled component parts of the parent specified on the Function Select screen. Parts are displayed by stock location and component location. Lines may be changed or added to the display.
PLANT
Required. Used to identify the plant in which maintenance/inquiry will be done. The plant must be valid, and you must be authorized to the manufacturing company/warehouse associated with the plant (Reference File category 409). Defaults to the plant assigned to your user ID.
PART NUMBER/DESCRIPTION
Display only. The number and description of the parent part whose components will be issued or received.
PRODUCTION CENTER
Display only. Used to Identify the production center in which transaction will be recorded. Cannot be all nines and must be a valid production center on the Production Center File.
REVISION LEVEL
Display only. The revision level of the parent for which these components are effective.
LOT NUMBER
Display only. If the parent is lot-controlled, this indicates the number of the lot to which it belongs.
REVERSAL CODE
Display only. An 'R' in this field indicates that this transaction will back-out a previously entered transaction.
PART NUMBER
Display only for existing lines. Required for added lines. The number of the component part to be issued or received.
UNIT OF MEASURE
Display only for existing lines. Optional for added lines. The stockkeeping unit of measure for the part to be issued or received.
STOCK LOCATION/LOT NUMBER
Required. The stock-location/lot-number combination(s) from which the component will be issued or received. The system displays as many combinations as are necessary to satisfy the parent production quantity. Asterisks are displayed in issue mode when available quantities at existing lot/location combinations cannot satisfy the parent production quantity. Asterisks are not displayed during receipt mode.
The stock location must be a valid stock location defined within the manufacturing company/warehouse.
You must enter a stock location and lot number in the following situations:
o When you are adding a component for issue or receipt. (In issue mode, the lot must exist on the Lot Control File (IC150M).)
o When asterisks are displayed, and you wish to fulfill remaining requirements by issuing lot-controlled inventory that has not yet been assigned to a location. The system assigns the lot entered to the location entered.
o When you are adding a component for receipt during a non-reversal transaction. If you enter a new lot number, the lot will be added to the Lot Control File.
o When you are adding a component for receipt during a reversal transaction. In this situation, you must enter a lot number that exists on the Lot Control File.
If all of the following situations apply:
o The lot number is left blank
o You are in by-product receipt mode
o You are not performing a reversal transaction
o Automatic lot numbering is permitted
Then the next available lot number will be retrieved from Reference File category Y34, it will default to the field, and a warning message will be displayed.
ISSUE QUANTITY/RECEIPT QUANTITY
Required. The Issue Quantity field is displayed only when you are in lot issue mode. The Receipt Quantity field is displayed only when you are in lot receipt mode. The quantity of the component to be issued or received from each location/lot combination. This number may be changed on existing lines, and must be entered for added lines. The issue quantity or receipt quantity may contain up to three decimal places. It must not be zero for added lines.
LOT FIFO DATE
Optional. This field is displayed only when you are in lot receipt mode. This date is used to establish the age of lot-controlled inventory so that the oldest inventory is used first and inventory obsolescence is minimized. You must enter a date if the part is lot controlled and the lot FIFO date does not already exist.
