This conversation allows you to maintain the planned daily/weekly production quantities for JIT parts within a production center.
This screen allows you to specify the production center for production schedule maintenance, as well as a begin date. You are allowed to maintain the production scheduled on the begin date and into the future.
PLANT
Required. Used to identify the plant in which maintenance/inquiry will be done. The plant must be valid, and you must be authorized to the manufacturing company/warehouse associated with the plant (Reference File category 409). This field defaults to the plant assigned to your user ID, but may be changed by pressing F17.
PRODUCTION CENTER
Required. Enter the production center for which production schedule maintenance will be performed. Depending on the part selection options chosen, the manufacturing or build-through parts ( or transfer parts, if they have BOMs defined in this plant) produced in this production center are displayed on the detail screen. Only one user may maintain the production schedule for a particular production center at a time.
BEGIN DATE
Required. Enter the first date on which scheduled production will be displayed for maintenance. The date entered must be equal to or greater than the system date. This begin date defaults to the system date if it is not entered.
ENDING DATE
Optional. This date specifies the ending date for the production schedule displayed on the screen. This date defaults to the value set on the production center file for the maintenance horizon.
PART SELECTION CRITERIA
Required. There are two part selection criteria which can be specified. If no part selection is specified, the parts within the production center specified which have some form of demand on them will be displayed, including those parts that do not have production scheduled for the specified dates.
PARTS WITH DEMAND
Optional. This field can be selected with an X. If this is selected, parts within the production center specified which have some form of demand on them will be displayed, including those parts that do not have production scheduled for the specified dates.
ALL RELATIONSHIPS
Optional. Enter an X in this field to select it. If you select this field, every part that has a relationship with the production center entered on this screen, will be loaded and displayed on the Detail screen.
CALCULATE AVAILABILITY
Required. Valid values are:
Y - Calculate and display the availability for the part on the Detail screen.
N - Do not calculate the availability for the part.
This field defaults to N.
PLANNED ACTIVITY
Required (if the Calculate Availability Flag is yes). Optional (if the Calculate Availability Flag is no). This field determines which activity should be included in the available quantity calculations. Manufacturing orders, purchase requisitions, component requirements, and transfer requisitions will be included or excluded from the calculations based on their status and the value of this flag. Valid values as defined on Reference File category D84 are:
Y - Include firmed, open, and planned manufacturing orders; firmed, released, and planned purchase requisitions; open component requirements; and released and planned transfer requisitions.
R - Include firmed and open manufacturing orders; firmed and released purchase requisitions; open component requirements of open and firmed manufacturing orders; and released transfer requisitions.
N - Include firmed and open manufacturing orders, and open component requirements of open and firmed manufacturing orders.
PART ADDITION
Optional. This field permits a production schedule to be added in this production center for a part whose default production center on its Part Master Record is different. The search field permits a JIT production type part to be "pulled in" from a list of parts defined in the plant. The part must have a part status that is valid for flow authorizations, as defined on the Reference File, category D88.
INITIAL FAMILY
Optional. Allows all parts with a common Family ID (Reference File category 423) to be displayed on the detail screen. Permits easy scheduling of related parts produced in the same production center.
