Production Schedule Inquiry and Reporting

The Daily/Weekly Production Schedule Inquiry, Part Production Schedule Inquiry, and Production Schedule Report present the supply and demand picture for parts within a cell(s) and the load and capacity picture for each planning bucket in a flow interval, thereby integrating Requirements Planning and Capacity Planning information for JIT-designated parts.

The Production Schedule with Availability/Load Calculation Report lists production rates and calculates the projected inventory for each part in a production center within a plant.  The report also calculates the production that is over or under schedule, the total load of the production center, and the percentage of capacity.

The production schedules inform cell supervisors of which parts to make. It also lets them know if the production plan is within capacity. Operationally, it can be used two ways. If the plant floor is operating with CONBON, the schedule merely represents a plan, and the CONBON cards authorize production. If the floor is operating from a schedule, then the schedule authorizes production.

If the production schedule informs you that you are over capacity for a given day or week, either the Daily/Weekly Production Schedule Maintenance or the Part Production Schedule Maintenance conversation allows you to adjust the schedule to tailor production to capacity constraints and see what effect the schedule change has on availability.  The production schedules also highlight production that is ahead of or behind schedule within a flow interval.
