Online Schedule Maintenance
To change supply rates by cell, the Daily/Weekly Production Schedule Maintenance conversation is used. On each screen you can view multiple parts made at the cell and their supply and availability rates for consecutive days or weeks, along with the daily/weekly load and capacity. To change supply rates for a part in multiple production centers the Part Production Schedule conversation is used. On each screen you may view alternative cells in which the part may be made and the supply rates for consecutive days. These conversations serve as tools to modify rates to keep within cell capacity.
They also act as a simulation or worksheet to provide "what if" analysis for a cell. The user can change the supply rates and view the effect on load without updating the data base. When satisfied with the tailored schedule, the user can update it. Once flow authorizations are modified for the part and production center, the system automatically generates component requirements. When supply rates are modified, their impact on the load at a cell is automatically updated.
