This screen displays the component requirements for the specified part and order quantity.  Available and on-order inventory information is shown.

Availability problems highlighted on this screen can be investigated by entering an 'X' next to the component line and pressing F12-Time Phased P/A.

PLANT

Display only.  The plant in which the simulation is being done.

PART NUMBER/DESCRIPTION

Display only.  The number and description of the part for which the manufacturing order release simulation is requested.

BILL OF MATERIAL LEVEL

Display only.  The level in the bill of material that is currently displayed on the screen.

STOCKKEEPING UNIT OF MEASURE

Display only.  The unit of measure in which the part is stocked.

PROD TYPE (Production Type)

Display only.  The production type associated with the part, either MRP or JIT, as defined on Reference File category C01.

PRODUCTION QUANTITY

Display only.  The quantity of the part to be manufactured.

PARENT QUANTITY

Display only.  The quantity of the parent part to be manufactured.

EFFECTIVITY DATE

Display only.  Only components in effect on this date are displayed on the screen.

COMPONENT PART NUMBER/DESCRIPTION

Display only.  The part number of the component(s) of the parent part.

PART TYPE

Display only.  The standard part types for components are as follows:

PUR - Purchased Part

MFG - Manufactured Part

RAW - Raw Material

PLN - Planning Part (not an eligible component part)

REF - Reference Part

B/T - Build-Thru Part (not an eligible component part)

N/S - Non-Standard Part

TRN - Transfer Part

NSK - Non-Stock Part

USAGE CODE

Display only.  This code is used to determine whether a component part will be consumed (C) by the parent part or produced (P) as a result of making the parent part. Any part type may be a by-product of a manufacturing process.

REQUIRED QUANTITY

Display only.  The quantity of the component required to make the order quantity of the part being simulated if the Usage Code = Consumed (C).  If the Usage Code = Produced (P), then this is the expected quantity of the by-product.

ON HAND/AVAILABLE QUANTITY

Display only.  This field displays inventory in any balance type that is available for planning.

ALLOCATED QUANTITY

Display only.  The quantity of the allocated inventory required to satisfy existing open orders regardless of horizon.  Allocated quantity includes the following:

o  The quantity set aside for filling manufacturing orders, transfer orders, and sales orders (MFG).

o  The quantity set aside for filling flow authorizations (this quantity is updated when a part availability order shortage report is requested).

o  The quantity set aside for filling Synchro offset releases and delivery point backlogs (this quantity is taken into account only if the user has set the Synchro Allocated Quantity Update flag to 'Yes' on the Daily Batch Parameter category G26).

The system retrieves these quantities from the Warehouse Balance File.

QUANTITY ON ORDER

Display only.  The quantity of the component currently on order.

ON HAND LESS ALLOCATED

Display only.  Free stock - the difference between on hand and allocated inventory.  If the required quantity is greater than this calculated available amount, then the component will be highlighted and a MAC-PAC warning message sent.

SELECT

Optional.  Enter an 'X' in this field to view the detail information on the next level of the product structure for the part specified on the component line.

COMMAND KEYS

Enter - Return to the Function Select screen.

F2    - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered.  Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen.  When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.

F3    - Exit program and return to menu.

F5    - Original BOM Level.

F6    - Previous BOM Level.

F9    - For parts with a production type of "manufacturing," suspend processing in the current conversation and enter the Manufacturing Order Maintenance conversation.

F9    - For parts with a production type of "JIT," suspend Processing in the current conversation and enter the Production Schedule Maintenance conversation.

F12   - Review the Time Phased Part Availability for the selected component part.
