This screen is used to select a part number and proposed quantity for simulation review. The detail screen will provide a list of the component requirements for the requested quantity of the specified part along with the inventory status for each component. It allows you to recognize shortage problems prior to entry of manufacturing orders and provides access to the information required to resolve these problems.
PLANT
Required. Used to identify the plant in which order release simulation will be done. The plant must be valid, and you must be authorized to the manufacturing company/warehouse associated with the plant (Reference File category 409). Defaults to the plant assigned to your user ID, but may be changed by pressing F17.
PART NUMBER
Required. Must be an active manufactured, build-thru, or transfer part.
PRODUCTION QUANTITY
Required. Defines the quantity in stockkeeping units to be used in the order (MRP part) or production schedule (JIT part) simulation.
EFFECTIVITY DATE
Required. Only components in effect on this date will be displayed.
USE YIELD FACTOR
Required. If you enter Y, the yield factor from the parent's part master will be used to increase the required quantity of each of the components.
ALL MANUFACTURING BALANCES
Required. When subtracting the manufacturing allocated quantity, you have two options to determine the balance from which you are subtracting. This balance may include the analysis of only on-hand balances or all manufacturing available for planning balances. Valid values for this field are:
N - Default value. If flag is set to 'N', then only the on-hand balance is analyzed.
Y - If flag is set to 'Y', all manufacturing balances available for planning are totaled and used for the last column from which to subtract the allocated quantity.
COMMAND KEYS
Enter - Display detail screens.
F2 - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered. Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen. When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.
F3 - Exit program and return to menu.
F4 - Display a list of values for the field where the cursor is positioned. If you select one of the items from the list, it will be returned to the application screen.
