This screen is used to record inventory that has been picked for a manufacturing order. The components are displayed as they appear on the Pick List Report. If the components were actually picked as suggested on the Pick List, press Enter to accept the suggested pick. Otherwise, changes to the scheduled pick list may be recorded by entering the desired option (A - Add or C - Change) on the maintenance line. Only requisition components with a balance to issue will be displayed.
The scheduled stocking locations are selected based on the following criteria:
For lot-controlled/lot-assigned items: Items are selected based on the priority code, if one was assigned. Blank priority codes have the highest value. If two or more lots have identical priority codes, the FIFO date is used.
For non-lot-controlled items: Items are selected based on the priority codes, if one was assigned. Blank priority codes have the highest value. If priority codes were not assigned, the primary stocking location for the part will be used if picking option 1 is selected on the Function Select screen. (Typically, lot FIFO date is the next selection criterion that is used after the lot priority code; however, this field is always all zeroes for non-lot-controlled parts and cannot be changed. If you select picking option 2 on the Function Select screen, the stock location field becomes the next sort/selection criterion after lot priority code, with the stock location having the least amount of inventory chosen first.
To change the order in which lot-controlled or non-lot-controlled parts are retrieved, press F8 to call the Lot Priority Maintenance conversation. If you make any changes within Lot Priority Maintenance, they will be reflected immediately in the Order Pick conversation.
To view/modify the config code for the configured component, press F23 to call the configuration code template window. The window allows you to enter the config code more efficiently.
Asterisks will be displayed in the stock location if there is not enough stock on-hand to satisfy the requirement. If you enter a quantity that is greater than the amount in the Required Quantity field, a warning message will be displayed.
PLANT
Display only. The plant in which maintenance will be performed.
ORDER NUMBER
Display only. The number of the order being picked.
PART NUMBER
Display only. The number of the parent part whose components are being picked.
PART DESCRIPTION

JOB NUMBER
Display only. Displayed only if the Job Control module is installed. If the parent part is assigned to a job, the job number is displayed here.
JOB STATUS CODE
Display only. Displayed only if the Job Control module is installed. If the parent part is assigned to a job, the status of the job is displayed here. Possible values are O (open), C (closed), and Z (costing closed).
GROUP NUMBER
Display only. Display only if the Job Control module is installed. If the parent part is assigned to a job, and that job belongs to a job group, the job group number is displayed here.
LINE NUMBER

Display only. The inventory type code is displayed only if the Job Control module is installed. Can only be entered if the part is job-controlled. Valid values are 'J' - Job, 'G' - Group, and blank for excess job inventory. The inventory type determines where the component will be issued from (e.g., if a 'J' is entered, the part will be issued from the stock location for that job). If a 'G' is entered, the job number from the manufacturing order must participate in a group.
PRIORITY CODE
Display only. This field determines the sequence in which a record is selected by the picking program. Priority codes use IBM EBCDIC values. These values determine the priority of the record, with blanks having the highest value. Other valid values are special characters, uppercased letters, and digits. Priority codes are assigned in the Lot Priority Maintenance conversation. To facilitate the picking process, it is advisable to assign a priority code to all records.
FIFO DATE
Display only. This is the date that the lot was created. FIFO dates are assigned only to lot-controlled parts.
LOT NUMBER

If a 'G' is entered, the job number from the manufacturing order must participate in a group.
LOT NUMBER
Required/Optional.
Required for lot-controlled and lot-assignable parts if the pick quantity entered is non-zero and the lot number is left blank.
Optional for parts which are not lot-controlled nor lot-assignable.
