This inquiry permits the user to view all manufacturing orders for a part, detail information for a specific manufacturing order, or all manufacturing orders (configured only) associated with a sales order number or a specific sales order line.
Function keys are provided on the Function Select, detail, and summary screens to facilitate the review of related information in other inquiries. Please review the command/function key text at the bottom of each help text screen to determine which values, such as part numbers, order numbers, etc., are carried along when a certain function key is pressed.
PLANT
Required. Used to identify the plant in which the manufacturing order was cut. The plant must be valid, and you must be authorized to the manufacturing company/warehouse associated with the plant (Reference File category 409). Defaults to the plant assigned to your user ID, but may be changed by pressing F17.
PART NUMBER/ORDER NUMBER
Required for Request Code 1 and 2. Optional for Request Code 3. Enter a part number to review all orders for part, or an order number to review detail for an order. Validation is performed based on the Request Code selected.
For a request code of 1 (Summary For Part Number), the part must be an active part and must be a manufacturing, build-thru, or transfer part.
For a request code of 2 (Detail For Order Number), the order number must be a defined manufacturing order.
FROM DUE DATE
Optional. May be used by itself or in conjunction with the To Due Date field to specify a range of manufacturing orders. You may enter a valid date in this field if using the Summary For Part Number Request Code (1).
TO DUE DATE
Optional. May be used by itself or in conjunction with the From Due Date field to specify a range of manufacturing orders. Enter a valid date in this field if using the Summary For Part Number Request Code (1).
SALES ORDER/LINE
Required if you enter Request Code 3. The sales order must have at least one configured item, and manufacturing orders for that item or items must exist. If the sales order number alone is entered, all manufacturing orders for the entire sales order will be displayed. If the line number is also entered, only the manufacturing orders associated with the sales order line will be displayed.
REQUEST CODE
Required. Must be one of the options listed on the screen:
1 - A summary of all orders for a selected part.
2 - Detail for a selected order number.
3 - A summary of a sales order and associated manufacturing order numbers.
MANUFACTURING ORDER STATUS
Optional. Displays all valid order status codes within Reference File category 403. Valid codes are:
P - Planned
F - Firmed
O - Open (or Released)
C - Closed
Z - Accounting Closed
This list of codes appearing on the valid values window is not limited to manufacturing order status codes. A generic valid values program is used to retrieve information from Reference File category 403 and is unable to distinguish the source from which this data is called. Thus, referencing this category will prompt the same list of order status codes if called from the M.O. Inquiry screen or S.O. Inquiry screen, for example. Thus, this list encompasses all valid order status codes.
