This screen displays multiple location records for the part that you entered on the Lot Priority Maintenance Function Select screen (IC165S01).  If you entered selection criteria, specific records matching the selection criteria are displayed.  If you did not enter selection criteria, all multiple location records for the part are displayed.

This screen allows you to establish the sequence in which the picking programs select records to fill an order.  The records are sorted by priority code with blanks having the highest priority.  (Priority codes use EBCDIC sorting standards.)  You may add or change a priority code by typing a value in the Priority Code field.

If you entered a priority code on the Function Select screen, it will default to the records on the Detail screen that did not already have a priority code assigned to them.  Records that had previously been assigned a priority code will retain their code.

Also, for lot-controlled or lot-assignable parts, the multiple location lot FIFO date (which was originally assigned to both the lot and location record when a receipt or inventory adjustment created both records) may be changed to another valid date.  If two multiple location records have the same priority code, the FIFO date is the next highest sort/selection criterion that is used on the MO Picker Document and Order Pick Entry screens.  This field is protected for non-lot-controlled or non-lot-assignable parts and cannot be changed.

COMPANY/WAREHOUSE

Display only.  Records for the part found in this company/warehouse are displayed.

PART NUMBER/DESCRIPTION

Display only.  This field identifies the part and its description as defined on the Part Master File (DE100M).

UNIT OF MEASURE

Display only.  This is the unit of the measure for the part.  It defaults from the Part Master File (DE100M).

PRIORITY CODE

Optional.  This field determines the sequence in which a record is selected by the Manufacturing Order Picking program.  If you entered a priority code on the Function Select screen, it will default to this field.  If you did not enter a priority code on the Function Select screen, the field will be blank, unless a priority code had been previously assigned.  You may change or add a priority code by entering a value in this field.

Priority codes use EBCDIC values.  These values determine the priority of the record, with blanks having the highest priority.  Other valid values are special characters, uppercased letters, and digits.

LOT FIFO DATE

Optional for lot-controlled or lot-assignable parts only.  You may only add a lot FIFO date or change an existing lot FIFO date for parts on the Lot Control File (IC150M).  This field is another criteria used by the picking programs to determine which record should be selected to fill an order.  It is the next highest criteria after priority code.  You may enter any valid date.

STOCK LOCATION

Display only.  This field identifies the location where the part is stocked in the company/warehouse.  The stock location must exist in the Location Validation File.

LOT NUMBER

Display only for lot-controlled or lot-assignable parts.  This is the number of the lot that is associated with the part record.  The part/lot number combination must exist on the Lot Control File (IC150M).

BALANCE QUANTITIES

Display only.  The quantities that are displayed refer to the inventory quantities for the part stored by balance type at each stock location.  There are four balance types; they are defined on the System Control File in Inventory Control-Material Planning.  The first type, on-hand inventory, is defined for you.  You may define the remaining three balance types.

JOB NUMBER/GROUP NUMBER

Display only for job-controlled parts and only if the Job Control module is installed.  The job number allows a job and its associated transactions to be tracked through order entry and shipping, planning, purchasing, manufacturing, and inventory.

COMMAND KEYS

F2    - Display a window where a fast path option or mnemonic can be entered.  Fast path allows the next menu selection to be made directly from this screen.  When the window is displayed, pressing F3 will remove it.

F3    - Exit program without processing the entered data.

F10   - Return to the Function Select screen without processing the entered data.

F15   - Clear all fields that you have just entered in order to enter new data.

F19   - If fields are displayed in standard units, display them in potent units.  If fields are displayed in the potent units, display them in the standard units.
