Unit Cost

The unit cost of a part defines the cost that must be incurred to procure one unit of the part.  The unit cost is used to calculate and report the value of inventory and inventory activity in the Inventory Accounting module, to calculate profit in the Order Processing module, as a basis for classifying inventory in ABC Analysis, and to provide cost projections in the Requirements Planning module.
