The part descriptive data downloaded to the forecasting application is described below.  The fields belong to the Initial Download File and can be displayed on the application screens after the initial download.  For detailed explanations of the forecasting application fields, please refer to that package's user manual.

Part number field.  First 15 characters contain part number.  Last three characters contain warehouse number.  See the Forecasting Interface

Positions 1-15 equal to the Part Number field of the Part Master File.  Positions 18-20 correspond to the Warehouse Number of the Warehouse Balance File.

Description field from the Part Master File.

Class

Product class.

Positions 1-2 equal to the Product Class field from the Part Master File.  Positions 3-4 equal to the Product Subclass field from the Part Master File.

Cost

10.3

Cost associated with part.

If the Cost field of the Warehouse Balance File is greater than zero, then Cost is equal to that field.  Otherwise, it is equal to the Cost field from the Part Master File.

Price

10.3

Selling price.

The Base Price field from the Warehouse Balance File.

Vendor

8

Primary vendor number for part.

The Vendor Number field from the Part Master File.

Forecast Flag

1

Flag that shows if the part is going to be processed for forecasting in the forecasting application.

Equal to Y.

Unit

5

Unit of measure for the part.

The Stockkeeping Unit field from the Part Master File.

ABC Code

1

ABC classification code for the part.

The ABC Code field from the Warehouse Balance File.

ABC Code Flag

1

Flag that shows if the part has an ABC Code.

Equal to Y if the ABC Code field is not blank.  Else equal to N.

Schedule

1

Flag that shows if the part is going to be used in the forecasting application to calculate the master schedule.

Equal to N.
